Before doing so, you are required to confer with all other attorneys and/or self-represented litigants in your matter, when possible, to coordinate full participation by all involved.  The court will not conduct the conference unless all parties are present to participate. A hearing cannot be held without proper notice.

IMPORTANT: When a hearing date is requested using this online scheduler, the matter will not be set on the court’s docket until the order setting the matter has been filed with the clerk and signed by the judge.

Effective January 1, 2022 the Louisiana Legislature repealed the law that provided for a litigant to file a motion for preliminary default prior to confirming a judgment by default. Therefore, no forms should be filed for a preliminary default (LA C.C.P. 1701).
